Engage with the Food Forest

Join the Brantford Food Forest for monthly meet ups to utilize all the amazing things growing in the forest. Food Forest will partner with local business to help you explore all the things you can do with plants!
The first one will be on March 28th at 6pm at Our Kitchen, where they will teach canning. Please register as space is limited. Please register at belongingbrant.com under events.

Jane's Walking Tour Festival

Jane’s Walk is a festival of free, community-led walking conversations. Since 2007, this international walking festival has brought together 40,000+ neighbours to share and celebrate their communities.

Brantford and Brant County has been part of this movement since 2018, with thousands who have explored neighbourhoods, local history and the environment in Brantford and Brant County.

If you are curious about Jane's Walk and want to learn more or if you’ve led a Janes Walk in the past and plan to lead one this year, please join us on March 29th at 6pm at Brantford Public Library to chat about what are Jane's Walks and options to bring them to Brantford and Brant County in for the festival, May 5, 6 and 7th, 2023.

This is a group where people who are a target of a bully or have been bullied talk to each other and support each other.
I was bullied throughout my school years in one way or another. I believe like the video I shared with the group that it has affected my mental health today. Now, with a daughter on the way, it's got me thinking about her future and mental well-being.

This is a new group starting with host Gina! It will be running the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 1-3 at the Brantford Public Library! Gina will be sharing teachings and how to make different traditional Indigenous items like medicine bags, dream catchers, rattles, headdresses, ,moccasins and more!

Rainbow Roots

Rainbow Roots is a space for 2SLGBTQ+ families to gather and build a sense of community. We will meet every 2nd and 4th Saturday at 1pm. This is a space where all queer families are welcome, no mater the age of your children. There will be a space for younger children to play while the older folks get to know each other and share parenting tips and tricks. If you are thinking of starting a family you are welcome to join and possibly get some tips on that as well. If there is interest we can look at guest speakers down the road.
